Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19 [KJV]
This is the scripture we hear at the beginning of the year as a prophecy. However, if God puts this scripture on our hearts in the middle of the year, it startles us but also excites our spirit, showing that God is doing something NEW, not just the next thing.
My child, if the mid-year slump has you feeling drained, then here’s the good news. God is doing something new for us. He is making a way in the wilderness. This is not a time to be tired or discouraged, but a joyful time to rejoice in HIM. That we are moving forward, a breakthrough is here, and we are progressing into the new thing.
Consequently, we ought to stand firm in faith and behold. We look beyond our now into the new, because our faith is on the solid rock, our trust is in the one who is a living God. Our faith is not limited to what He will do or can do, but what He has already done and leading us into the new. Amen.
Let’s pray:
Dear Lord, We thank you for the new thing you have done for us. We trust you, and we perceive it by faith. Thank you for leading us into the new thing. We rejoice in you for the exciting new thing. Strengthen our faith and courage to enter the new. I pray and declare that opportunities arise, closed doors be opened. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
