The kingdom of God is unlike an earthly kingdom with geographical boundaries. When we got baptised, the spirit of the Lord started to reside in us and help us to live a Christian life. So, the Kingdom of God begins with the work of the Holy Spirit in people’s lives and in relationships. The Kingdom of God is not limited to the expansion of institutions and programs; we must also reflect on what God is doing within us.

The Kingdom of God is within you; the scripture enlightens us. Therefore, we live our lives accordingly. If the Kingdom is within us, then we should submit to the Father of the Kingdom. The Lord’s prayer reminds us to seek our Father. Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Praise for the Father should constantly be on our hearts as the Kingdom of God is within us. So whether you are at work, home, or college, may the praise for the Father be on your heart, surrendering to Him.

Secondly, let our lives reflect the Kingdom within us rather than our external influences. Let not your burdens or pressures overwhelm you, but walk like a citizen of Heaven, knowing that the Father is in control of your life. Let us lift our heads and walk in the victory Jesus Christ has given us. Shalom.

Dear Lord, thank you for the work Jesus Christ has done for us. The Kingdom of God is within us, and we walk on earth as citizens of Heaven. May the word of our mouths and meditation of our minds be pleasing to you, Father. Our hearts are full of praise and worship for you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
