He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire

This is the same promise God is repeating in my Spirit. God wants to baptise us in the Holy Spirit. When this fire comes upon us, it purges us, cleanses us, and refines us. We want to be pure as God’s children, and an encounter with God changes us. His fire empowers us to be great witnesses of His Gospel.

My Child, God is preparing us to receive this fire in our lives. By grace, He is releasing His fire upon us so we can be His vessels in this corrupted, fallen world. This is the time we confess our sins, repent and prepare our hearts. God loves us, and he wants to give His best for us.

Often, we get so focused on His hand blessing us that we forget we are meant to seek His face first, not just His hands. Our greatest blessing is His presence in our lives. So let’s prepare our hearts to receive the fire from above.

Let’s Pray:

Dear Lord, we await your fire to fall upon us. May you baptise us in your Holy Spirit and make us useful vessels for your glory. Just as your disciples and apostles have been baptised and became great witnesses, Lord, we want to be witnesses of your Gospel. May your fire empower us and burn our hearts to be great servants of yours. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
