“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Hebrews 13: 5[NIV]
The promises of God are absolutely certain and are fulfilled in His time. Today’s promise is even more powerful and showcases the faithfulness of God. We may fall short in our faithfulness towards God, but His faithfulness is not dependent on our faithfulness. God remains faithful even in our despair and doubt. However, this is no excuse for us to fall short in our faithfulness towards Jesus.
My child, whether there is joy in your heart today or despair, the truth is God remains faithful. All promises in Him are yes and Amen. He promises never to leave us nor forsake us. He is with us and in us in all seasons of life.
The psalmist said even through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for thou art with me, your rod and staff they comfort me. This is the assurance we should have: that God is with us in the valley and on the mountaintop. In the valley, He is the comfort and on the mountain top, He remains our comfort. Despite shifting circumstances, He never changes. He remains the same Jesus who died for us on the cross because God is love.
Today, I would like to encourage you that God is in you. If He is in you, how can He leave you? Don’t ever doubt God’s existence based on your circumstances, but shift your focus from your circumstances to His faithfulness and presence with you.
Let’s Pray:
Dear Lord, thank you for being with us and in us. Thank you for your ongoing comfort despite the circumstances. We trust in your promise. You are our shepherd, and you never leave us nor forsake us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
