I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Today’s verse is simple but powerful. If there’s something you are looking to do at all times, then here it is. “Praise” is the keyword in this scripture; however, at all times, is the rhythm we should adopt in our lives.

Scholars believe the context of this verse is that David was delivered from the Philistines at Gath (1 Samuel 21) and praised the Lord. However, he was determined to praise God continually. David was a worshipper who constantly exalted God. David trusted God at all times to protect him, guide him, and deliver him.

Today, we don’t look for a reason or time to praise the Lord, but let out our praise because we are created to praise Him. Our praise is because the Lord is good. Our praise is because God always fights for the righteous. We praise God because He is faithful. We praise Him in the morning, at noon and at night. We praise Him in all seasons. We praise Him continually.

Prayer

Dear Lord, we praise you continually. Your praise is on our lips, and we exalt your name because you are worthy. We extol your praises because you are in control.  We are grateful and bless you. In Jesus name, Amen.
