Instead of your shame, you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace, you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

The word for today is “get excited.” But how can we get excited with no reason? The scripture from Isaiah highlights God’s promise to the Israelites to restore what they have lost. In the place of suffering, shame, disgrace and humiliation from the past season, God’s abundant joy has replaced them. This is the promise for us today because we serve the same God…the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Everything the enemy stole from us in the past season, as we enter this new season, God is blessing us with a double portion of honour. God’s justice replaces every injustice. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne, the Bible reminds us. The God of justice will not let the enemy rule our lives, but His righteous right hand will lift us, and we will walk in the inheritance of our God. We are co-heirs in Christ, the Bible says. Therefore, we rejoice in our inheritance.
God is good, and he will never let us down when we put our trust and hope in Him. If you believe today that God is restoring everything in your life, then declare that He is good and that in His sovereign will, He will restore a double portion for us.

Dear Lord, You are good. Thank you for restoring everything the enemy stole from us. You are a God of increase, and we receive by faith the double portion. Thank you for our divine inheritance in Jesus Christ, and we rejoice, giving glory to you, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
