As believers we repent and get baptized in the waters and come out cleansed by the blood of Jesus. This is the first step to salvation. By the finished work of Christ on the cross we are saved. We are born again and reconciled with God by the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.

And there’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit that shapes us and transforms us into the likeness of God. As believers we need to grow in our spiritual life and reflect the true nature of Jesus Christ which is pure, selfless love.

Today the Lord promises us to baptize us in the Holy Spirit. This is grace from God and we submit and receive it by faith. Baptism of Holy Spirit is ordained by God Himself and we humble ourselves and completely surrender to Him.

Let’s Pray:

Dear Lord, We are utterly grateful for choosing us to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. We surrender to your will and receive it by faith. May your Holy Spirit overpower us and lead our lives to obey you, please you and submit to you even when the trials come. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
