Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
Psalms 150:6 [NIV]
The scripture is a great invitation to praise the Lord. God deserves our praise no matter what we are facing today. Neither our circumstances nor our moods or feelings should define our praise. The only reason to praise God is because of who he is. God is worthy of our praise irrespective of our feelings.
Elizabeth Elliot, a renowned American Christian missionary and author, quotes, “Worship is not an experience.” Certainly, it’s not about loud music or atmosphere, nor is it about experience. Worship is a state and devotion of the heart, communing with God and glorifying Him for who He is. It is a discipline to bless Him, minister to Him and adore Him.
We are to worship in Spirit and truth, the bible says. We are to worship from the inside out. Our gratitude and affection for God conform to the biblical truth of who He is, describing His greatness of glory and His love for all creation. Awed by the wonder of His beauty and majesty, our worship should navigate through our circumstances and adore Him to the core of our being.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. I invite you to take some time to praise the Lord. He deserves it. God Bless!
Prayer
Dear Lord, We worship you with all our heart, mind and soul. We adore you from the bottom of our hearts and honour you for who you are. Holy Spirit, let not our circumstances waver our worship and adoration for who Jesus is. Lord, we love you and bless you despite our situations. In Jesus name, Amen.
