Seek the Lord

Seek the Lord

Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.

                                                                                Isaiah 55: 6 [NIV]

Yesterday, the Lord instructed us to draw closer to Him. Drawing close to God is not a single-day event, like attending church on a Sunday or a worship session during the week. God lives in us, and we ought to pursue Him every day of our lives.

Seek Him while He may be found. If you fill yourself with the cares of this world or your everyday activities, you slowly lose to sense His presence at every moment of your day. It is so easy to get lost in this world and lose focus on God. So, let’s build our consistency in seeking God for who He is, not just for what we need Him for today.

Secondly, call on Him while He is near. Psalms 145 reminds us that the Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth. We have the Spirit of Truth inside us, and through the help of the Holy Spirit, we call upon the Lord. Therefore, if you are a Christian, God is near to you because you call upon Him in truth. Furthermore, God is near to those who are broken-hearted, according to Psalms 34:18. God hears your cries and brings comfort in your pain. If you are under pressure and feel like you have come to the end of yourself, then lift your voice and seek the Lord. God hears the broken-hearted and heals their wounds.

My child, let’s seek the Lord today. As we seek Him, we draw closer to Him, and our relationship with God is strengthened. Whether you are on the mountain top or in the valley, every reason is qualified to seek the Lord.

Let’s Pray:

Dear Lord, we thank you for a brand-new day. Another opportunity to seek your face and worship your name. As we seek, may you be found, and your presence overwhelm us with gratitude for your love. Thank you for being near to us, and we rest assured that nothing can separate us from you. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
